1/27 - Attended Jean Donaldson's lecture last night on Evolution. Of course I got to thinking about the billions of sperm we put into Cissie and how only a few make it, kind of like a lottery. Jean told me about the "sperm war theory" where they act like a football team and block the opponents. She also said this is now being debunked.

1/24 - 1/25 - We attended the Golden Gate Dog Show. While there I saw a number of dogs that had fear issues in and around the show ring. I highly recommend Vicki Ronchette's book on "Positive Training for Show Dogs". She is an admired trainer and handler of dachshunds in the ring, and also judges bassets in the field.
